About Shelby
Professionally
I work with individuals, children, couples, and alternative style relationships and take a liberation-oriented stance towards wellness. I specialize in serving my queer and neurodivergent communities and am gender affirming and sex positive.
On the technical side, I work from a relational gestalt framework and utilize a blend of mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, somatic therapy, and play therapy depending on clients' needs.
I am an AMFT (#153147) with an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and work under the supervision of Gwen Lotery, PhD, LMFT #37140.
I received an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy at California State University, Northridge.
Personally
I am from Southern California and care deeply for the community here. I have a history in organizing and social justice which shapes my systemic, holistic approach to therapy.
In my down time, I am probably hanging with my sausage-shaped dogs Dottie & Lottie, going to the movies (shoutout to AMC A-List), or just ambling around LA.
